All Times Pacific: Astrology Report Feb 26-March 5
“The stars are like letters that inscribe themselves at every moment in the sky. Everything in the world is full of signs. All events are coordinated. All things depend on each other. Everything breathes together.” Plotinus
Friends, our weekly astrology report is a little late and a little brief this week due to power outages during the storm. As Willa Cather wrote: “Some things are best learned in calm, others in storm.” We have before us a relatively quiet week, astrologically speaking. With March bringing big changes (Saturn entering Pisces, Mars entering Cancer, and Pluto entering Aquarius) this would be a good time to relax, have some fun, and enjoy the little things.
Sun Feb 26, Mon Feb 27, and Tue Feb 28 only lunar aspects are exact. Take some time to enjoy the approaching conjunction of the two most loved planets in the zodiac, Venus and Jupiter.
Wed March 1 Venus conjunct Jupiter is exact in the evening. This has been considered the luckiest of aspects, especially in romance, the arts, finances, and just having a good time. But this is the proverbial rose colored glasses aspect and many a fool has been fleeced by it. However tomorrow’s Mercury conjunct Saturn is so practical and pessimistic it can provide the necessary balance. By not letting either aspect outweigh the other we can find a way to get the best out of both. If you are creative this combination of enthusiastic excess and editorial scrutiny might be frustrating or exhilarating. The same in romance. Again, balance is the key. As the magus Eliphas Levi wrote: “Everything is possible to him who wills only what is true! Rest in Nature, study, know, then dare; dare to will, dare to act and be silent!”
Thu March 2 Mercury conjunct Saturn is exact in the morning and Mercury enters Pisces at 2:52 PM. Don’t let this aspect obscure the opportunities indicated by the Venus Jupiter conjunction. It’s easy to think and talk our way out of good situations, but on the other hand caution is necessary and false optimism could have unpleasant consequences. Balancing the two aspects and respecting the potentials indicated by both we can be optimistic and practical.
Fri March 3 Venus conjunct Chiron is exact in the morning indicating potentially cathartic healing experiences connected to love, art, beauty. A time for creative people to dive deep into the stream of inspiration. Healing self may help heal others, and healing others may help us heal ourselves. Issues regarding women and health may be in the news. Show some love and offer some healing to the people who represent Venus in your life.
Sat March 4 and Sun March 5 only lunar aspects are exact. As Kukai, the founder of Shingon Buddhism said: “Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the men of old; seek what they sought.”
Tue March 7 Saturn will enter Pisces. Aquarians may breathe a sigh of relief, until Pluto enters our sign on March 23. Saturn in Pisces represents the culmination of a cycle. The last time Saturn was in Pisces was in the mid 1990s. For the next two years plus Pisces people will step up to greater responsibility, find mentors, and become teachers. When Saturn meets Neptune in Pisces and Aries in 2025, the beginning of a new 36 year cycle, it’s liable to be a time of problems with water and oil. We may see shortages again. The collective feeling may be pessimistic and depressed. One might expect Christian and other patriarchal institutions to exert efforts at controlling their monopolies on human spirituality. But it will also be a time of deep spiritual attainments, profound art, films, and music, and a fascination with the past, which will disappear when both planets enter Aries for a spectacular rebirth of sentiment, zeitgeist and most likely a generational changing of the guard.
