All Times Pacific: Astrology Report Mar 6-Mar 13
Friends, we have before us a very quiet week of astrological aspects. Yesterday’s Venus conjunct Mars in early Aquarius is still exact. Beauty and romance, artistic creativity, and cooperation between the genders is especially favored. While Mars loves being in Capricorn for maximum effectiveness, Venus finds it a bit chilly. Both will be less edgy in Aquarius. A good time to find common ground. Yesterday’s sun conjunct Jupiter is still with us. Enjoy some optimism, find something joyful to do. The urge to overindulge or over-spend may be strong. Don’t take unnecessary risks while having a good time. Mars conjunct Pluto and Venus conjunct Pluto are still strong and consequences could be surprisingly challenging. It’s all about revitalizing and refining love, art, ambition, and boundaries. Consider this quote by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: “Not everything has a name. Some things lead us into a realm beyond words… By means of art, we are sometimes sent — dimly, briefly — revelations unattainable by reason.”
Mon Mar 7 and Tue Mar 8 only lunar aspects are exact. Here is a beautiful and perhaps Spiritualist poem by the obscure but great Russian poet Khodasevich.
Look for Me
Look for me in spring’s transparent air.
I flutter like vanishing wings, no heavier than
a sound, a breath, a sun ray on the ground;
I’m lighter than that ray — it’s there: I‘m gone.
But we are friends forever, undivided!
Listen: I’m here. Your hands can feel the way
to reach me with their living touch, extended
trembling into the restless flame of day.
Happen to close your eyelids, while you linger…
Make me one final effort, and you might
find at the nerve-ends of each quivering finger
brushes of secret fire as I ignite.
Wed Mar 9 Mercury enters Pisces at 5:32 PM beginning the last twelfth of its journey around the zodiac. This placement can heighten psychic sensitivity, bring more power to the imagination, and naturally inclines toward nostalgia and looking over where we’ve been with a long view and a sense of changes and endings.
Thu Mar 10, Fri Mar 11 and Sat Mar 12 only lunar aspects are exact. Another quote from Solzhenitsyn: “The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie.”
Sun Mar 13 sun conjunct Neptune is exact before dawn, only seven more days until Spring begins. With Jupiter nearing its upcoming conjunction with Neptune, this is a particular powerful Sun conjunct Neptune. On the negative side it can indicate exhaustion, illusion, over-intoxication, self-delusion, but it can also indicate strong imagination, insightful dreams, and increased psychic sensitivity. Be careful with drugs, even prescription, as our bodies can be more sensitive with this aspect. It’s an aspect of contagion unfortunately, and it’s possible we will see indications that the pandemic isn’t over yet. In our own lives it’s a good time to relax and to seek inspiration. As Anton Chekhov wrote: “Perhaps man has a hundred senses, and when he dies only the five senses that we know perish with him, and the other ninety-five remain alive.”
Because invasions, disinformation and boycotts are everywhere amid this attempt to cancel a nation, as we witness the suffering of the innocent caused by the ambitions of foolish men, now is a good time to contemplate Swedenborg’s belief that the predominant emotional complex in Hell is bitterness at not having been supported, and pleasure in withholding support, what we call canceling, including all other forms of manipulation meant to exile others from rightful being. As we all suspected, Facebook and Instagram can be portals to Hell.
This does not mean that we should never strive or compete. It means that we must do so with mindfulness, without envy or hatred, with tolerance for disappointment, and with eagerness to learn from our mistakes. When revenge is our only motivation and our intent is to sow division and spread pain we reap the harshest lessons. Relaxing away from our troubles and the problems of the world we can recognize opportunities and rise to the occasion. Another quote from Chekhov: “Perhaps the feelings that we experience when we are in love represent a normal state. Being in love shows a person who he should be.”
