This morning Mercury inconjunct Uranus was exact. Electronic glitches, detours, confusion, and misunderstandings can lead to loss of well-being. And yet if you can follow the messages life is giving you there can be liberation and healing. Approach things differently. Ask questions and communicate carefully. This can be an anxious aspect, possibly accident prone. Relax. Go slow. Be thorough. For creative people, especially writers, flashes of insight can lead to breakthroughs.

Tue Oct 26 in the early evening Venus square Neptune will be exact. There can be a strong desire for intoxication and escapism in general with this aspect. Have fun but don’t over do, even with upcoming Venus sextile Jupiter asking for the good times to get better and last longer. In art and relationships look out for miscommunication. This can be the “I thought it was a work of genius till I read it the next morning aspect” and that disillusionment can also apply to love. However this square can also bring high inspiration and profound artistic and romantic experiences. Speaking of which, the eBook of Tamra Lucid’s Making the Ordinary Extraordinary: My Seven Years in Occult Los Angeles with Manly Palmer Hall will be available this day, Oct 26, at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indiebound, Walmart and many other online retailers. It’s a beautiful, heartfelt book about an extraordinary friendship and the incredible kindness of Manly Hall.

Thu Oct 28 Venus sextile Jupiter is exact. This can be a fun aspect, but also an aspect of opportunity and success. But sextiles aren’t particularly strong, and suspended between Mars square Pluto last Wednesday and Mars square Saturn coming up next week it may not be easy to enjoy this aspect. Make time for love and art. Be optimistic about success, especially if women are involved. Since this aspect magnifies harmony music can be especially inspiring. Partying is fine but don’t over do. Sun square Saturn is near, like a big “or else.”

Sat Oct 30 sun square Saturn is exact. Often a time of pessimism, exhaustion and doubt, but where there has been practice, discipline, patience, meditation, mentorship, learning and simplification, Saturn can reward us with stronger foundations, more effective process, even well-earned respect and responsibility. If you’re feeling run down, get some extra rest. The discipline part of Saturn works best when you are at your best. Tired people make mistakes. As Eckhart Tolle wrote, “We have forgotten what rocks and plants still know — we have forgotten how to be — to be still — to be ourselves — to be where life is here and now.”

Also Saturday Mars enters Scorpio at 7:21 AM, all times Pacific. Mars in Scorpio can be transformative especially in the areas of ambition and sexuality. On the low end of the spectrum this placement can lead to obsessive and even criminal behavior. By exploring how we really feel, and what we really want to do, we can minimize the indecisiveness caused by the stress of living with a pandemic.

Sunday Oct 31 Halloween arrives with a fun Mercury trine Jupiter. No one will want to miss the party after Halloween’s cancellation last year. After all, what holiday could be more appropriate for life during a pandemic? Caution is advised. We seem to be doing rather well collectively as October draws to a close, but then Moscow will be back on lock down two days before Halloween. Keep in mind that the vaccinated can remain contagious. The unvaccinated in particular should be cautious, especially in crowd settings, especially indoors. Take the necessary precautions. Happy Halloween to all, as Emily Dickinson wrote, “ One need not be a chamber to be haunted; One need not be a house.”

Monday Nov 1 sun inconjunct Chiron is exact, suggesting that those who overdo during the weekend will be paying the price as the work week begins. This aspect can indicate crisis in the area of health. In our individual lives it may be a time when the demands of our egos conflict with the demands of healing. With Mercury square Pluto exact early the next morning research or a deep conversation, or committed meditation, could lead to a realization that can help you achieve tranquility and well-being. As Sri Chinmoy wrote, “I meditate so that my mind cannot complicate my life.”

The first week of November is very quiet, astrologically speaking. Enjoy this time of relative calm and work steadily toward your goals.
