All Times Pacific.

Friends, we have a strange week ahead of us, not terribly active, but there are some cross currents. With yesterday’s Venus square Jupiter still strong its easy to overspend or otherwise overdo when romance or pleasure are on the line. Summer’s almost gone. The natural inclination is get in as much fun as possible before the return of cold weather. But for others there may be a feeling of pessimism as the days grow shorter. The seasons remind us that, as Carl Jung wrote: “We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.”

Sunday 9/17 and Mon 9/18 only lunar aspects are exact. However Sunday’s formidable trio of lunar aspects could take some navigating. We begin with moon inconjunct Uranus exact in the morning. A nervous, somewhat accident prone aspect that commonly provokes overreaction. Moon inconjunct Neptune is exact in the afternoon often indicating confusion and exhaustion, a malaise of not quite sickness, but of unwellness. And then moon square Pluto is exact in the evening, an aspect that asks us to confront areas of neglect and trauma, especially emotional and in regards to the women in our lives.

Tue 9/19 we have two of the most challenging aspects this week. First, sun opposition Neptune is exact in the early morning before dawn, then Mars inconjunct Jupiter is exact in the mid-afternoon. Sun opposing Neptune can indicate trouble with flooding and other water related issues. It often coincides with physical weakness, over-sensitivity to drugs legal or illegal, confusion caused by misunderstandings or deliberate manipulation. It’s good for meditation. It can help us attain a feeling of mystical union with the world around us. The inconjunction can indicate potential for problems with authorities caused by careless actions, or defiant neglect. We might be overly optimistic about our ambitions or desires, so we push forward only to find that impatience has complicated the situation.

Wed 9/20 in the late evening sun trine Pluto is exact, an aspect that can indicate powerful moments of reform, repair and rebirth. We can find a way to regenerate well-being. We can take a step toward a new ego being born from facts and mindfulness of the collective good, rather than reactions and suspicions. Viktor Frankl wrote: “Life can be pulled by goals just as surely as it can be pushed by drives.”

Thu 9/21 only lunar aspects are exact. As Paulo Coelho wrote: “I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature.”

Fri 9/22 summer ends as the sun enters Libra ten minutes before midnight, the fall equinox means autumn is upon us. 2023 is winding down. We still have many planets in retrograde. We’ve still got Pluto in Capricorn. We’re seeing signs of Pluto in Aquarius as unions strike and AI is one of the issues on the minds of workers.

Sat 9/23 Venus trine Chiron is exact. A beautiful aspect for healing. Love, harmony and beauty can tune us to a higher frequency, as it were. Let love, art and music bring out the best in you. However with Mars opposition Chiron and sun inconjunct Saturn on Sunday, two aspects indicating issues around health we want to be paying attention to how we feel. Not a good weekend for taking risks. Paracelsus wrote: “Man is a microcosm, or a little world, because he is an extract from all the stars and planets of the whole firmament, from the earth and the elements; and so he is their quintessence.”
