A True Story of Love After Death, Part 2 of an 11 part series of videos, tells the story of Stewart Edward White’s life, his loving marriage with Betty, his friendship with Theodore Roosevelt, the beginning of Betty’s experiments with the Invisibles, an outline of their books, and a deeper look at The Betty Book and Across the Unknown, where Stewart told the story of Betty’s death and how, without channeling or paranormal events (although as we shall see in part 3 there would later be plenty of those) she had conveyed her continuing love for him in a way he could not doubt.

The Unobstructed Way is an unpublished book written by Tamra Lucid and Ronnie Pontiac about the lives, experiments, and channeled teachings of Elizabeth Grant “Betty” White and her husband Stewart Edward White. One of the most extraordinary stories to be found in esoteric studies, the Betty books, as they were called when they were bestsellers in the 1930s, attracted the attention and respect of Carl Jung.

The Unobstructed Universe teachings address many subjects including the purpose of incarnation, attaining spiritual stability, avoiding getting sucked into the vortex of a chaotic world, defending against energy vampires, love and sex after death, avoiding unnecessary suffering, the fate of pets, the power of appreciation, a new definition of prayer, descriptions of the afterlife, and more.

I wrote several pages about Betty and Stewart in my book American Metaphysical Religion: Esoteric and Mystical Traditions of the New World. In The Unobstructed Way we explore the details of their lives, practices and teachings in depth. We also compare their teachings to Plato’s ideas about the afterlife, and to The Secret of the Golden Flower, finding consistent similarities.
