Friends, we have before us a week that is a prelude to next week when Saturn and Pluto will be stationary direct. With six planets retrograde and the dark of the moon this week we have a good time for finishing, resting, and reorienting. Yesterday’s Mars trine Saturn remains strong, rewarding hard work, patience, discipline, and persistence. If you have difficult work to do that you’ve been putting off now is the time. Mentorship, study and practice can help you deal with ambition, libido and even anger. Build your strength and refine your goals.

Today Mercury retrograde arrives at 10:10…

Friends, we have before us a relatively quiet week, astrologically speaking. While there are several challenging aspects the dominant aspect of the week is a productive Mars trine Saturn. However with Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all retrograde, and Mercury about to join them, progress isn’t easy. Our focus, confidence, and serenity may be tested. We may be confronted with our fears, anger, pettiness, or other negative qualities that cause us more harm than good when we give into them thoughtlessly. All these retrogrades may cause us to dwell in the past, to measure our accomplishments, or our worthiness…

Friends, we have before us a relatively quiet week of aspects, although we are approaching the Saturn and Pluto stations of early October, and Mercury retrograde from Sep 26 through Oct 18. With Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, and even Jupiter, all slowing to station the intensity increases a little every day. At the upper end of the spectrum these stations are excellent for meditation, hard work involving writing and other forms of communication, repairs, and other necessary changes.

Has the pandemic changed you? Have you revised your goals in some way? Have you increased your appreciation of the small things that…

Friends, we have before us a week with more good aspects than we’ve seen for awhile, all becoming exact on Monday. Unfortunately, contrary aspects before and after will make the waters choppy, and as the week proceeds health issues become dominant yet again. Caution is important with Saturn and Pluto slowing down to stationary direct in early October. As we have seen questions about variants and protection continue and with Saturn and Pluto stationary nearing there is a turning point ahead. It may be a crisis in the pandemic, or it may be that better angels prevail.

We like suspense…

Friends, the desire for the joys of summer is natural and healthy. “One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter,” Henry David Thoreau wrote. And yet that is the irony and the tragedy of pandemics, that they can turn our joys into sorrows. We have before us another week of inconjunctions. Eleven inconjunctions, and only a few of them lunar. This suggests another week when health issues return to the forefront.

With inconjunctions most people want to emphasize only one side of the aspect, which causes the other side to build up a strong…

Friends, we have before us one of the quieter weeks we’ve seen recently, astrologically speaking. Mars remains a strong influence so tempers may flare, and energy is to be found in the areas of ambition, libido and anger. The week begins with Mars trine Uranus demanding freedom, causing sudden disruptions, unexpected outbursts, but also liberating breakthroughs. It ends with Mars opposition Neptune gaining strength until exact Sep 2, an aspect that has connotations of pandemic surges, and of disillusionment.

Mars trine Uranus is with us all week but fading now. Look around for ways to liberate your drive to make…

Friends, we have before us a week that begins with the last of the unusual number of inconjunctions that made last week rather challenging. But this week ends with a bang as midweek Uranus is stationary retrograde followed by Mercury and Mars trining Uranus. It’s an awkward pivot. The fourteen inconjunctions mentioned in last week’s report end Wednesday with inconjunctions of Mars and Mercury to Chiron. These aspects begin to fade but are still with us for a bit, especially the difficult Mars inconjunct Saturn in orb until Aug 22, so difficulties regarding health, and incongruent priorities, may still be…

Astrology Report Aug 8 — Aug 16

Friends, we have before us another challenging week with potential pandemic problems indicated by fourteen inconjunctions over the next ten days, only seven are lunar, culminating in Mars inconjunct Chiron on Aug 18. Chiron and inconjunctions both can indicate crisis in the area of health. Will mid-August bring good news or a surge that kicks up some dust just in time for Uranus stationary retrograde on Aug 18th? The push for freedom now, for tomorrow today, may suffer a reversal as Uranus turns back to go over old territory. …

Friends, Saturn dominates the beginning of this week with Friday’s Venus inconjunct Saturn still in effect, and Mercury and sun oppositions to Saturn today. The middle of the week is relatively quiet, astrologically speaking. We continue summer’s celestial roller coaster of challenging aspects balanced by the supportive.

Today Aug 1 sun conjunct Mercury was exact. With this and strong Saturn for writers and creative people this is a good weekend for editing, learning, practicing, consulting with mentors. Communications can contain a little more ego than usual.

Also today mid-morning Venus inconjunct Chiron was exact. Chiron and inconjunctions in general both…

Friends, we have before us a week that is mostly rather sassy but probably not in a positive way, and it ends with a potential thud. After that we finally get a bit of a break from the recent celestial difficulties. Mars inconjunct Pluto continues to indicate conflict and danger until August 1. This aspect suggests problems around health issues, that can be caused by reckless actions. Hostility can lead more easily to violence with this aspect, and as pointed out in last week’s report, if a more dangerous mutation of the pandemic virus appears it’s possible researchers will find…
